Welcome to fruitgraph.com, the world's first and only social fruit grapher review site!

Read the comic at http://xkcd.com/388/!
Well, the old fruitgraph.com is obsolete.  It appears others beat me to developing the first social fruit graphing app by already knowing php and what have you.   Luckily, this page still has a purpose: I, Aaron, have made it my mission to catalogue every fruit graphing application on the internet!  And for you,  I'll throw in a  The old, crappy fruitgraph.com app is still available here, if you have the time to look at pictures of obsolete imaginary fruit graphers.

The applications

The first fruit graph application I encountered was located at http://ermarian.net/services/statistics/fruit/.  With a mostly intuitive interface (pick a fruit from a drop-down menu, then click where you think it belongs on a graph) this site seems to be able to satisfy most fruit-graphing needs.  All I feel it lacks is a less irritatingly slow way of selecting fruit.

Final Verdict: 9/10

After voting all fruits but grapefruit and pomegranite down to the worst possible edibility and flavor values, I proceeded to my next graphing site: http://mapki.com/fruits/.  Its plain black-on-white theme made it clear the author spent little time designing his/her site in a pathetic attempt to be the first person to create a functional fruit graphing application, and this lack of effort was present elsewhere.  The voting page actually requires one to visualize where fruits would appear on his/her graph, then input the coordinates on a scale of -10 to 10 in both categories.  By typing them.  Into individual text boxes.  ONE NUMBER PER BOX, PLAINTEXT ONLY, FINAL DESTINATION.  Though functional, this site simply lacks in bells and whistles and originality and that sort of thing.  Even manually selecting each fruit from a drop-down menu was better than this.  At least it worked.

Final Verdict: 5/10

I was getting tired of moving all the fruit into the lower-left corner of each graph.  At least mapki.com/fruits made it easy to copy&paste -10, -10 into every box... At this point, I was running out of faith in humanity, what with all the 9/10 and 5/10 graphers out there.  In my darkest hour, a beacon of pure fruity delight (i.e. delightful light) shone upon me: http://ealingwoodcraft.org.uk/fruit/index.php, or as I like to call it, THE BEST SITE EVER.  Seriously, this graphing application was completely functional and by far the easiest fruit graphing application to use on the market.  One simply drags the fruit to where it fits on his personal tastiness/difficulty graph, then presses the vote button, and the public chart (with the newest vote taken into account) is displayed instantly.  No drop-down menus, no inputting hundreds of numbers, no nuttin'; this is truly a work of genius.  You're also allowed to vote more than once in case your opinion's smarter or whatever.

Final Verdict: 5 STARS 10/10 FAVORITED DUGG ETC
